EKURABADZE CHPS

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ike Lord Ennu, the MP, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford, Some Chiefs within the Mfantseman municipality, Officials from the Saltpond Municipal Hospital and the Mfantseman Health Directorate together with a team of delegates from the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly, joined the people of ekurabadze to commission a newly constructed CHPS compound in the community on Monday 23rd May 2022 to help boost healthcare delivery in the municipality.

The chairman for the program, Nana Obrempong Oboadze Kese VIII welcomed all officials present and stakeholders for making time for the commissioning of this all important health facility.

For the effective running of the facility, the Municipal Health Director, Mrs. Gifty Ankrah, admonished the members of the community and unit committee members to cooperate extensively with the health workers posted there in order to benefit from their rich services.

The MP, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford called on both authorities and the community to adopt maintenance culture so the project could last longer for their benefit and to see it upgraded to the status of a polyclinic when the need arises.

However, the municipal manager of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Mr. Francis Kingsley Yamson, encouraged the people to register with the scheme in order to access free healthcare or at a reduced rate.

The nurses and volunteers who will work in the facility were also introduced to the all the dignitaries present, and were advised to give off their best in providing quality healthcare to the people of Ekurabadze.

Now the unveiling and inspection of the CHPS compound was officially done by Nana Obrempong Oboadze Kese VIII, chief of Ekurabadze with the support of the MP for Mfantseman, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford, the MCE, Hon. Ike Lord Ennu and the Municipal Health Director, Mrs. Gifty Ankrah.
