On February 04, 2026, The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Stanley Acquah, has embarked on a working visit to the municipal offices of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the National Ambulance Service (NAS) at Abonko, as part of his ongoing efforts to monitor public institutions and strengthen service delivery across the Municipality.
During his engagement with officers and staff of the two critical emergency response agencies, Hon. Eric Stanley Acquah commended their dedication and professionalism, while also acknowledging the operational challenges they face while performing their duties to protect lives and property.
The MCE assured personnel that his administration remains committed to supporting their work, noting that previous interventions such as facilitating the repair of the fire tender and ambulance reflect the Assembly’s determination to enhance the capacity of these essential services. He further pledged to engage the appropriate authorities to secure additional resources and logistical support to improve operational efficiency.
