39th National Farmers and Fishers Day Celebration

In a show of appreciation and recognition, farmers and fishers from across Ghana were honored during the 39th National Farmers and Fishers Day celebration. This year’s event gained added significance as Mfantseman joined the regional festivities, highlighting the importance of acknowledging the hard work and dedication of those who contribute significantly to the agricultural sector.

The celebration, held in the picturesque surroundings of Ajumako Enyan Asiam District, was made possible through the sponsorship of Atlantic Lithium Limited. Ten deserving individuals were singled out for their outstanding achievements in agriculture, with each receiving various awards as a token of appreciation. Among the awardees was Nana Saah from Biriwa, recognized as the overall best farmer. Nana Saah’s commitment and passion for farming earned him the top prize of a tricycle and other assorted items, showcasing his exemplary dedication to the craft.

The ceremony was attended by government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector, all coming together to honor the hard work and contributions of farmers and fishers to the nation’s economy. In his address, the District Chief Executive expressed gratitude to the agricultural community for their pivotal role in ensuring food security and sustainable development.

The event featured various activities, including agricultural exhibitions, cultural displays, and traditional performances, providing a platform to showcase Ghana’s rich agricultural heritage and the resilience of its farming communities.
